SaverLife will actually reward you with cash for saving your own money. Sign up to the free program (run by earn.org, a non-profit organization) and link it to your savings account. You’ll earn $10 for each month (through the next 6 months) that you add at least $20 to your savings account. You can make an easy $60 over the next 6 months just by saving some of your own money! You can simply set up an auto transfer from your checking to savings to be sure that you don’t forget to add at least $20 to your savings each month.
Chase is offering a cash bonus for opening a new Chase Freedom credit card account. In order to get the $150 bonus you will need to make at least $500 in purchases in the first 90 days.
This is a great cash back credit card (no annual fee). You’ll earn 1% cash back on every purchase, and 5% cash back on purchases in specific categories. The categories for 5% cash back change each quarter. Sometimes you’ll be able to get 5% cash back on gas, groceries, or at major retailers like Walmart or Amazon. The 5% rewards really add up fast!
Chase is also offering the same cash bonus for the Chase Freedom Unlimited card. Many of the details are the same as the Chase Freedom (no annual fee, $150 cash bonus if you spend at least $500 during the first 90 days).
The difference is in the cash rewards that you’ll earn from your purchases. With the Chase Freedom Unlimited card you will get 1.5% cash back on every purchase. It’s higher than the 1% for the Chase Freedom card, but without the 5% categories. It’s a great “every day” credit card that will always earn a nice amount of cash back.
The Discover It credit card is very similar to the Chase Freedom card. There’s no annual fee and you’ll earn at least 1% cash back on all purchases. You’ll earn 5% cash back for purchases in a category that rotates each quarter. The Discover It card does not come with a sign up bonus, but Discover will match the cash back you earn during your first year. That means purchases in those 5% categories during your first 12 months will actually earn you 10% cash back!
Open up an online savings account with Capital One and qualify for an easy $25 cash bonus. The account has no minimum balance and no fees, but you will need an initial deposit of at least $250 to qualify for the $25 bonus.
I’ve been a customer since 2002, back when it was ING Direct (acquired several years ago by Capital One). You will love the convenience of this savings account. You can easily set up multiple accounts and name them for different purposes (such as “emergency fund” or “vacation savings”). And best of all, you’ll get a good interest rate to earn more with your savings.
Capital One also offers checking accounts, and you can also get a nice cash bonus for opening a checking account. Like the Capital One savings account, this checking account has no minimum balance or fees.
To qualify for the $25 bonus you will need to open the account with at least $250 and make at least 3 debit card purchases or Person2Person payments within 45 days. As a customer you’ll have access to over 39,000 fee-free ATMS.
Capital One also offers a money market account with no fees. You can get a $25 bonus if you open the account with at least $250, or get a $100 bonus for opening the account with at least $10,000. The Capital One Money Market offers a great interest rate, especially if your balance is over $10,000. There are also no monthly fees associated with the account.
If you’re not using Ebates already, you should start using it right away. With an Ebates account you can get cash back at thousands of different retailers online and for some in-store purchases. The percentage of cash back varies, but it’s an easy way to save on things that you would buy anyway. And if you make the purchase with a cash rewards credit card you can double dip on the rewards!
Ebates makes it very easy to get cash rewards. You can install a browser extension and it will remind you of cash back opportunities when you are browsing. Just click the notification to activate and you’ll be all set to get cash back on a purchase that you would have made anyway.
To make it even sweeter, Ebates is offering a $10 cash bonus if you sign up through this link. All you need to do to qualify for the bonus is make one purchase in the first 30 days. And Qapital accounts are FDIC insured.

BeFrugal will give you a $10 bonus for signing up, but you’ll need to earn $10 in cash back in order to get the bonus (so it’s a little harder to earn than the bonus from Ebates). Like Ebates, BeFrugal has relationships with thousands of different online retailers, so you can earn cash back from sites that you already purchase from. Simply install the browser extension and you’ll be able to see which app (Ebates or BeFrugal) will earn you the most cash back from a specific website.
